Fitness Motivation – Start Today, Make A New Ending

Most of us want to move forward from the past and into the future, but we just can’t find the motivation to do it. This may be because we are not ready to let go of the past and move on or we are afraid that the past will repeat itself. Letting go of the past is the first step.

Letting go of the past can be hard for anyone. Finding a way to let go can be even harder. You have to be ready to move on from the past before you can let go. Forgive and forget what has happened in the past. Hanging on to what happened will make you miserable and prevent you from moving forward.

Believe in yourself and focus toward the future. If you’re able to have faith in who you are and what you want, you will have the power to move away from the past and into the future.

Once you start, you put the wheels in motion to create momentum, and this momentum is the key to bring you towards the finish line. But for that to happen, you need to start. So stop finding excuses and ways to delay starting.

Fitness Motivation – Choices, Chances, Changes

We all have a choice to take a chance and make a change. I remember the days when i was over weight. (See my story about how i gained all my weight) I used to look at myself in the mirror and hold my big tummy, jump up and down and watch it jiggle. Believe it or not i used to laugh at myself and wonder how the heck will i lose this. I knew i had to make a choice. Either i could stay like this or i could make a change.

One morning i was getting dressed for work and i walked past the mirror. I remember reversing backwards and turning around and facing the mirror. I was in my underwear and my stomach was hanging over. I looked at myself up and down. I felt my heart start racing and all of a sudden this energy came over me. It was time. It was time to make a choice and take a chance to change.

I started my weight loss journey that morning and i have not looked back since. I made a decision to change and i went for it. I knew it would be hard but i also knew the longer i waited the harder it will be.

Have you ever tried to steer a parked car?… It is not that easy right?. Yes these days we have power steering and turning the steering wheel will turn the wheels. But, are you moving?..No, you are still in the same place. So in order to move you have to start the car , put the gear in first, release the hand brake and put your foot on the gas. Only then will you be able to steer the car in the direction YOU want to go.
