Many people still believe that if they perform ab exercises they will get a flat tummy. To this day I still hear people saying that they do 100 or more crunches a day but still can’t see there abs, and those TV infomercials make this “myth” even worse!.
The truth is the only way to get a flat stomach is to strip away the fat around the midsection. This can only be accomplished by eating healthy foods, cutting out high fat, sugar and refined and processed carbohydrates, increasing muscle mass to increase metabolism, as well as performing cardio training to help burn calories.
Ab training or as it is now known today as “core” training can certainly help to improve and strengthen muscles in your belly; however you will never see the ab muscles unless the fat in this region is stripped away.
